We are pleased to announce that Laven has been shortlisted in the HFMWeek Service Provider Awards 2010.
Laven Partners – the hedge fund consultancy arm of the group – will compete in the categories of ‘Best Regulatory Advisory Firm’ and ‘Best Advisory Firm’.
Meanwhile, Laven Legal Services – the group’s related legal practice – has been nominated in the category of ‘Best Law Firm – Client Service’.
Last year, Laven Partners won the award for Best Regulatory Advisory Firm, and the judges noted that “in an age of growing regulation and corporate governance, Laven Partners’ experience and understanding of both hedge funds and compliance shone through.”
The winners’ announcement ceremony this year will be held on Thursday, 25 March 2010 at the London’s Hurlingham Club.
The HFMWeek Service Provider Awards cover various service providers to the hedge fund industry and candidates are judged on qualitative and quantitative criteria, including the strength of the candidates’ business models and product innovation. Candidates in the advisory categories include firms such as Ernst & Young, Kinetic Partners and IMS Consulting, while Laven Legal Services will compete against Simmons & Simmons, Dechert, Maples and Calder and Schulte Roth & Zabel for the award of Best Law Firm – Client Service.
